Wedding Shoe Style Dilemmas

Category: Bridal

This is often the season when brides-to-be who’ve set a date for the following year, begin to think about finalising the details of their wedding day look. The dress may be on order and the accessory ideas are beginning to flow but for many a bride, wedding footwear can present a bit of a style conundrum; a situation that here at Upper Street, we’re all too familiar with.

Glamour, fairytale and comfort are all key considerations and many of our customers have a very specific shoe in mind – one that they’ve tried to find in the stores but to no avail. The dress will be perfect, so why not the shoes? To assist those bridal belles who are busy planning the detail for their very special day, we thought we’d share a few of our real life wedding shoe style dilemmas… and provide you with a beautifully bespoke answer.

Round toe satin court

By choosing a round toe court with d’Orsay sides in beautiful Pearl and Vanilla Italian satin and opting for the 2.25″ heel at the checkout you’ll be guaranteed comfort and style on your wedding day. The perfect shoe to accompany a wonderfully traditional gown.

White satin peep toe

Take a simple but classic design such as this White, Oyster & Dove satin peep toe with an asymmetrical front. For that all important wedding day glamour factor adorn with a beautiful Swarovski jewel cluster, flower or elegant bow. To avoid towering over your bride groom, simply select 1.5″ heel at the checkout.

Vanilla satin peep toe

Accent your dress with these shapely d’Orsay cut peep toe courts in Vanilla satin. The shimmery flash of metallic gold snake adds a unique detail perfectly suited to the dance floor later on!

Pointed white satin flower court

The last thing you want on your wedding day is cold feet so encase them in luxurious White satin pointed courts and top off with a satin flower. The perfect winter bridal footwear with a floral flourish.

Pearl satin gem peep toe, Oyster flower sandal

If you love your heels don’t abandon them on your wedding day – opt for the security of a platform. In winter, these pink toned Pearl Italian satin peep toes with a gold platform and opulent Swarovski gem cluster will ramp up the glamour factor but avoid the dreaded wobble. For a summer wedding, show off the perfect bridal pedicure in these divine Oyster satin platform sandals with a flower and white snakeskin heel. Don’t forget you can opt for a lower 3.5″ heel and a 0.25″ platform at the checkout stage.
